
Jumping International de Cannes kicks off this Thursday, with an evening devoted to the Global Champions League, usually scheduled for Friday.

This team event, which has just crowned the victory of the Saint Tropez Pirates, with Spain's Mariano Martinez Bastida, Ireland's Max Wachman and Portugal's Duarte Seabra, took place in euphoria, with a course designed by Italian course master Uliano Vezzani.

Yet the first heat was led by Madrid in Motion, made up of Dutchman Maikel Van Vleuten and Beauville Z.N.O.P, and Spaniard Alvarez Aznar associated with Legend with a time of 118″05. Saint Tropez Pirates making a score for this first round of 131″60. To round off this provisional podium, the Cannes Stars, a women's 100% team, finished this first heat with a time of 133″32.
The second round, with a new layout, kept the Cannes public on its toes, with teams struggling to find the keys to this not-so-easy course. Only in the end did the Saint Tropez Pirates claim victory.
"This victory is fantastic and the Cannes crowd was incredible," said the Saint Tropez Pirates about their win.
CSI 2*

Earlier in the day, the GC TV prize, with victory for the British Isabella Beecroft-luckett, associated with Dahar, who completed her course in 28″23, over heights at 1m15, contested in 2 phases.
France shone in this event with a second place for Sabine Maitrot Charmasson associated with Gotha de Jarsay, and a third place for Daylina Maximin Vernoy and Fantasia Barbotière, and respective times of 28″23 and 31″50.
Aurélie Bidermann Prize

Here too, with heights of 1m25, France was in the spotlight with victory for Charlotte Slosse riding Uzel, for a time of 29″09, with just behind a second tricolore, Emma Bodier associated with Elina de Grandry in 30″09. Third place went to Vanessa Hajkova and PMF/2join Hartford in 31″71.
Kiss FM Award

A win and a clear round for Belgium's Thierry Goffinet, and his Derby Landais, for this 1m40 speed event in 62″13. Second place for Maxime Pierrot and Dynamic d'Allaire in 64″93, and third place for France, with Baptiste couperie and Talouradao in 65″83.
