What a joy for Stockolms Hearts, 3rd in Miami and Saint Tropez, to finally find themselves on the top step of the podium in Cannes.
The first run kept us on our toes, with a challenging course concocted by track boss Uliano Vezzani.
A first round for Riesenbeck International, who achieved two perfect runs, thanks to Philipp Schulze Toppohoff and Carla NRW , and Christian Kukuk and Just Be Gentleman, with a time of 149″67.
A provisional 2nd place for the New York Empire represented by Scott Brash associated with Hello Valentino, and Paris Selon and Anna JO, av c a time of 138″47.
The Stockolms Hearts, represented by the young Frenchman Antoine Ermann with Odin can't Hanegoor, and Nicola Philippaerts with Derby de Riveland, left the track with 4 points for 3rd place.
Of particular note was the excellent performance of Cannes Stars, the only 100% women's team from the Iron Dames, who came away with 4 points thanks to a penalty lap by Sophie Hinners and her magnificent Iron Dames Singclair.
In the individual rankings for this first round, a faultless 67″49 from Scott Brash and Hello Valentino.
The second most striking round of the Jumping de Cannes, with a new route and revamped teams.
It was the Stockolms Hearts who completed the only double clear of the event in 149″28 that took them to victory.
The Cannes Stars finished in 4th place with another 4 points, for a total score of 8 points. In this second round, Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann gave her team a clear round.
In the individual ranking , Julien Epaillard and Dubaï du Cèdre were the fastest with a clear round of 67″19.
Prix Lieven Hendricks - 1m15, with Greine des neiges, Frenchwoman Lou Potin took victory with a time of 53″21.
For the GC Store Award, Another French victory thanks to Maxime Pierrot and Dynamic d'Allaire. The Provencal completed a fastest clear round in 64″43.
