This second edition of CannesSeries has been a real success! We can congratulate the organizers and the Mayor of Cannes, David Lisnard, who delivered a “flawless performance”. Everything was top-notch for welcoming the actors, directors, and the 25,000 spectators who took part in the Festival, 5,000 more than last year.

We also thank David Lisnard and the City of Cannes for allowing the Cannois to attend the screenings so easily, and above all, free of charge.

The Closing Ceremony:

Hosted by Monsieur Poulpe, who arrived riding a horse onto the stage of the Palais des Festivals, which was sold out, this Closing ceremony, in the presence of the Mayor of Cannes and his wife, brought an hour of relaxation to the spectators. Sketches, humor, the restraint of the guests, Monsieur Poulpe very professional as a host, and the Awards list of winners:

Best Series Prize: Perfect Life, Spain.

Acting Prize: Reshef Levi, for the series “Nehama”, Israel

Best Series Music Prize: Christoph M. Kaiser and Julian Maas for the series “A New Era”, Germany.

Best Screenplay Prize: Bert Van Dael and Sanne Nuyens, for the series “The Twelve”, Belgium.

A Special Acting Prize was awarded to the 3 actresses of the series “Perfect Life”, Spain: Laeticia Dolera, Celia Freijeiro and Aixa Villagrán.

Not to forget the Best Short Series Prize: Over And Out, Australia.

Everyone was moved by Reshef Levi’s touching speech.

Etter avslutningsseremonien fikk publikum en forhåndsvisning av episode 1 av den britiske serien til Russel T Davies, med Emma Thompson.

Et ekte mesterverk, og publikum tok episode 1 godt imot. Vi gleder oss allerede til å se de neste episodene. Mot slutten av visningen ble Russel T Davies og Russel Tovey tatt imot med kraftig applaus. Med glede, vennlighet og stor ydmykhet tok de imot selfies med publikum og utvekslet også noen ord med dem.
