Marseille has been in the news a lot in the last few weeks with the most famous teacher living there.
Deconfined, it was time to go for a walk on the Cannebiere. Here are my favorite addresses:
Hotel:
C2:
In the heart of Marseille, on the Cours Pierre Puget, this hotel, housed in a late 19th century building, is an architectural gem. The concept was to preserve the origins while adding modern touches for maximum comfort. The result is magnificent: bronze and turned wood railings, Paolo Rizzato's chandeliers, frescoes on the ceiling, subtly chosen paintings, the atmosphere of this place is luxury and voluptuousness.
Rooms:
20 in total spread over 4 floors and all elegant and sophisticated: Seated by Le Corbusier, Franck Lloyd Wright, Marcel Breuer or Rietvelt, this hotel is a tribute to the architects precursors of the modern movement, born at the beginning of the 20th century. Little tip: take one of the two exclusive rooms on the 4th floor, with the sunny balcony overlooking Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde, exceptional!
To relax, a beautiful Spa, a bar, a lounge, and outside a large Zen terrace.
On the kitchen side, a refined menu, try the Brunch every first Sunday of the month, very appreciated and divine.
Opening on June 26th. 48 rue Roux de Brignoles, Tel: +33 495 05 13 13
A restaurant:
The Castle :
Located in a magnificent cove, this seasonal restaurant will delight the most difficult of guests with its location, its setting, its view and its cuisine.
3 generations of the Rambaldy family have made this place an address not to be missed. Succulent bouillabaisse, fresh fish, but also excellent homemade desserts like the fiadone, famous Corsican cake with brocciu, a delight!
Route du feu de la Calanque de Sormiou, Tel: +33 491 25 08 69.
Beach:
The beach of the Calanque of Sormiou :
Translucent waters, idyllic and romantic landscape, this beach is a haven of peace, especially after a good meal.
Must do : BBQ BOAT PARTY
Unique and for the moment only in Marseille, this boat without a permit will allow you to discover new sensations this summer, you will be able to sail and have lunch or dinner, with friends, family, or as lovers. An original and really nice concept! Ideal also for those who are worried about the Covid, and who don't want to go back to the restaurant for the moment.
Good to know: this boat can be rented by the half-day or the day, but a Sunset Night package is also available from 6pm to midnight. For more information and reservations, Tel : 06 37 23 61 84.
