Since 1994, this very elegant biennial, organized by the Yacht Club de Monte-Carlo, which aims to gather all vintage boats, small and large pleasure craft, once again demonstrates the Principality’s unwavering attachment to the sea and to maritime heritage.
This year, for the 14th edition, Denis Conner, four-time America’s Cup winner, multiple world champion and Olympic medallist, will travel especially from the USA to serve as President of the Grand Jury.

As for the boats, a new arrival, Atlantic, 64.50 m long, is the perfect replica of the three-masted schooner that Charlie Barr had built for the Kaiser’s Cup of 1905.

Also to be admired is the SS Delphine (my personal favourite), whose lines are of majestic refinement, 78.50 m long, with 3 boilers, a true marvel.

This 14th edition being dedicated to the United States, an “American Village” will be showcased to exhibit the maritime heritage of the country that contributed to the development of yachting worldwide.
Good to know:
– The spectacle is open to all! All events will be visible from the decks of the Yacht Club de Monaco and from all viewpoints overlooking the sea.
– After the on-water competitions, the competition continues ashore with the “La Belle Classe Restauration” prize, a culinary contest highlighting the creativity of the crews.
– If you are the owner of a vintage or classic yacht, do not hesitate to take part online: www.ymc.org/mcw2019
