For its 3rd edition, this Music Festival, held in Cannes in partnership with the city, offers you exclusive artists.
This wonderful adventure began 3 years ago, thanks to Chantal Loras and Régine Bessis, 2 passionate music lovers, both retired, one a music agent in Classical Music, the other in World Music. Supported by David Lisnard, Mayor of Cannes, and Thomas de Pariente, his 1st Deputy Mayor in charge of Culture, Chantal and Régine were able to realize their dream: to create a modern and innovative festival where several musical influences come together in a single concert.
The first edition was such a success that Chantal and Régine decided to do it again the following year, which was even more dazzling.
This year, for the Festival Musiques Croisées 2019, the two friends once again offer us exceptional artists.
After swinging and jazzing to the sound of GEFILT SWING on March 28th, we can once again fill up on music and world voices with the last 2 dates of this 3rd edition: Thursday, May 2nd at 8pm: Serena Brancale and Thursday, June 7th at 8pm: Shani Diluka Piano.
Thursday, May 2nd, 8pm: SERENA BRANCALE 4 TéT
This magnificent Italian singer, with a voluptuous voice and an amber timbre of “négritude,” is a songwriter, composer and pianist. Her music is a blend of Soul, Pop, Funk, R&B, and American Electro, which pairs perfectly with her explosive voice that sets venues ablaze in the company of her 4 TéT. Tickets: €20. Single rate. Thursday, June 6th, 8pm: SHANI DILUKA PIANO
This pianist, of Sri Lankan origin, was born in Monaco. Very early on she showed an extraordinary talent; she was spotted at the age of 6 by Princess Grace Kelly, who enrolled her at the Académie Rainier III. After brilliant studies at this prestigious Academy and a 1st Prize, she went on to the Conservatoire de Paris, where she also earned a 1st Grand Prix. Her talent led her to a national and international career. Shani, with her music, will take us on June 6th along the famous ROUTE 66, in search of American composers. Tickets: €20. Single rate.
